Description

Version 2.00
Some changes have been made:

  • The standart JournalCollect Category that couldn't be removed before doesn't exist anymore

  • Counting works now in all categories

  • Category names may contain spaces now

Please report all bugs.

Previous Versions

Version 1.02
The script now works with the new version of deviantART as well.
Version 1.01
The script works now with literature, too.

Requirements:
You'll need GreaseMonkey to make this script work.

Description:
You are viewing a deviation and think "Wow I have to feature that in my next journal", so you save the thumb-code or the link to a text file or somewhere else.
OK, but here is a faster way: Use JournalCollect. With just a button-click you can save the thumb-code directly to the Firefox settings (about:config). Then in your "Update Journal" area you can just with a view clicks add all the thumbnails you saved to the Journal Entry box.

What it does:
The script adds some buttons to every deviation page.
Collect Buttons: The buttons right behind the artist's name add or remove the deviation you are viewing to your Collection
Settings Button: Allows you to add/remove categories or to clear the content.
insert Thumbs: Opens a dialog where you can chose which thumbs you want to insert in the Journal Entry box.

How to install:
Before you can install this script you need GreaseMonkey (see above).
If you have GreaseMonkey and it's activated just drag and drop the script from the location you saved it on your HD into the firefox window.
Now either you get a notification window from firefox asking if you really want to install this script, wait till the countdown is over and click OK. If you now visit a Deviants page for example you should see the script's effect.
If you don't get that notification window, but just a page with a lot of source code just hit the reload button, then the notification window should appear as well.
Don't hesitate to ask if you have trouble installing it.
(Be aware this script is still a beta, I use it for quite some time already and didn't have any bigger problems, but I can't guarantee that everything will work correctly)

Does this still work? I'm trying to install it, and I'm not sure how to exactly. So download, then drag and drop?
