Aquarelle, 16 x 89,3 cm,
©2007 Simon Schmidt
Small Turin and his little first-born sister Lalaith, shortly before her death playing on the lawns of Dor-Lómin.
This format was quite a challenge. I painted parts of it from the side because from the bottom I would not have reached them.

this is such an interesting composition! I love the bands of pure white dividing the picture into pieces.

Thank you very much!
Glad you recognized the bands. They were meant to lead you to the main action if you follow them zig-zagging down from the top

Wow--this is so unique! I don't think I've often seen a painting done like this! And I love your depiction of Turin and Lalaith--Turin's being my favorite of the lays of Beleriand.
